Mimico To Miami - Schooner Trip, Now, 15 Mar 1941

Mr Snider mentions in this aricle, both the yacht Stormy Weather and the Nevins Yard in City Island, New York, but fails to mention that Stormy Weather was built in the Nevins yard over the fall and winter of 1933. As to the alleged price of $200,000, this editor (who owned Stormy for a quarter of a century) can state with certainty that the contract price with Nevins, including all fittings and all plain sails, was $29,000. (source: the late Philip Le Boutillier Jr, son of the original owner and who was very much involved as a teenager in building and sailing the yacht.)
