In this installment, the author relies heavily upon the Toronto Harbour Commissioners' centennial report The port and harbour of Toronto, 1834-1934 (note that Mr Snider uses "American spelling"), but expands the rather dry statistics with added details. He also, in keeping with his series of Schooner Days articles, cuts his reporting short when sail was replaced by steam.
