Our "WoodenBoat" collection

WoodenBoat, wooden boat

WoodenBoat, Issue no. 1, 1974

WoodenBoat provides editorial environment that combines emerging technologies with traditional methods of boat design, construction, and repair. Jon Wilson founded the company in September 1974, starting with Volume 1, Number 1 (September/October 1974) - the lovely schooner "Silver Heels", authors such as John Gardner and John Atkins, most of the photography in black and white, and only five classified ads to justify a cover price of $1.50, our collection is complete to May 2010 (number 214), sporadic thereafter.

Collection: Robert "Bob" Todd

Availability: #1 to #60 in "volumes", all others boxed, single

Indexing: by NMA, partial, available here; (see also the WB back issues index.)

We do have some duplicates, including early ones not available in colour from WB, for exchange or possible sale. Please contact us for donations or exchanges.

This is currently (January 2021) a work in progess, to rationalise, facilitate and expand our existing pages at the Naval Marine Archive. Some pages are very recent, some date back twenty years and may or may not have been reviewed and/or edited recently; we appreciate any suggestions for improvements.
