The Yacht

The Yacht

The Yacht, premier issue

The Yacht is a title the has been used more than once. This us the U.S publication (ISSN 0748-805X) which ran 32 bi-monthly issues from November/December 1984 (premier issue) to the last issue February 1990 (v.7, no.1). Editor Roger Vaughn noted, The Yacht is dedicated to pleasure, fun and exhilaration – it's not a "how to" manual – written by provocative journalists and with good photographic layouts. This magazine includes a little more 'sail' than 'power', with a good mix of modern technology and traditional values and subjects.

The cover illustration shows Irish Helm, a 54 foot sports fisherman on the prowl in the Bahamas; photo by Mike Sloan.
